EGKA Instructors First Aid Course on 4th July 2010, Camberley, Surrey

We are indebted to Andre and Daphne who have agreed to put on this Instructors´ First Aid course which is open to all EGKA instructors and their assistants on a first come, first serve basis. For those of you that need this first aid certificate at work, you will know this course is being offered at a substantial discount and there are only 24 places, so please book early. Five places have been booked within the first 12 hours of posting this notice!

The syllabus will include:
- First Aid Priorities
- Managing Incidents
- Basic Life Support - Resuscitation (CPR), Adult and Child
- Examination of a Casualty
- Unconsciousness
- Control of Bleeding
- Burns and Scalds
- Regulations
- First Aid Kits
- Recording and Reporting
The course will also concentrate on the Paediatric side of the Emergency First Aid, as some instructors may need to treat young children.
- Choking (Adult and child)
- Anaphylaxis
- Bleeding and Shock
- Eye & Ear injuries
- Fractures
- Childhood illnesses including Asthma, Epilepsy and Diabetes
